Efficacy Published studies show that reported efficacy of the Valley Fever vaccine in dogs provides protection against Valley Fever disease when exposed to wild-type strains of Coccidioides.

Administration

Administration

The vaccine is administered as a single dose (1mL) SQ, followed by a single dose (1 mL) SQ booster 3-4 weeks later. Then followed with an annual single dose (1 mL) SQ booster.

Side Effects

Side Effects

As a live vaccine, it may occasionally cause mild skin irritation, slight lethargy, or a low-grade fever. These side effects typically resolve in one to two days following the vaccination.
